STANDARD AND POOR'S: UKREXIMBANK HOLDS LEADERSHIP AS THE MOST TRANSPARENT BANK IN UKRAINE

For the second successive year Standard & Poor's and Financial Initiatives Agency, Ukraine, name Joint Stock Company the State Export-Import Bank of Ukraine (the JSC Ukreximbank) the most transparent bank in Ukraine.

According to 2007 Transparency and Disclosure Survey of Ukrainian Banks, a joint analysis by S&P and FIA, the JSC Ukreximbank has again demonstrated the highest transparency grade of 64% (2pp up from 62% last year) amid 30 largest Ukrainian banks (in terms of net assets) with average system grade of 41% (42% last year).

The JSC Ukreximbank is the only bank out of the last year's Top Three who has succeeded in holding its position in the chart and retained the strong leadership.

The analysis by S&P and FIA was focused on completeness and timeliness of information disclosure on the bank's owners and corporate structure, financial and operational results, structure and processes in supervisory council and management.

The research was based on the three major sources of public information:
banks' annual reports, corporate web-sites and available information from regulatory authorities - the National Bank of Ukraine and The State Committee for Securities and Stock Market.

This year research was conducted from investors' and customers' viewpoint and was carried out in accordance with Standard & Poor's methodology for evaluation of public companies transparency.
