1.  ANNUAL MEETING NOTIFICATION & DATE - Dec 17, 2009
     Thursday, December 17, 2009, Washington, D.C., 10:00 a.m.

The annual meeting of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council will take place on Thursday, December 17, 2009, in downtown Washington, D.C.  The USUBC annual meeting will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon  followed by a working luncheon featuring key presentations on economics and business matters in Ukraine.  Additional information about the USUBC annual meeting will be sent to you shortly. 2.  LUNCHEON WITH FOREIGN MINISTER OF UKRAINE, PETRO POROSHENKO - Dec 10, 2009
     Thursday, December 10, 2009, Washington, D.C., 12 noon to 2:00 p.m.

USUBC will sponsor a working luncheon with the new Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, on Thursday, December 10, 2009, from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. in Washington, D.C..  The foreign minister will be in Washington for a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.  Additional information about the USUBC luncheon with the Foreign Minister will be sent to you shortly.  PLEASE SAVE THE DATE, DEC 10.

3.  WORKING SESSION WITH ECONOMIC TEAM OF U.S. EMBASSY, KYIV - Dec 2, 2009
      Wednesday, December 2, 2009, Kyiv, Ukraine, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The U.S. Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) is sponsoring an informal, off-the-record, Roundtable Meeting with the Economic Section Team of the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv concerning key business and economic issues in Ukraine.  Members of the U.S. Embassy team will include Edward Kaska, Counselor for Economic Affairs; Kaye A. Lee, Deputy Counselor for Economic Affairs, Eric Salzman, Economic Officer and other officers from the Economic Section.

Each member of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) is invited to send ONE person to the Roundtable. The U.S. Embassy team will make opening remarks. The floor will then be open for short presentations by USUBC members on issues of concern to them, followed by an open discussion of such issues and a Q&A session.  Morgan Williams, SigmaBleyzer, who serves as USUBC President, will moderate the Roundtable session.

The USUBC Roundtable will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the main Conference Room at the offices of SigmaBleyzer in downtown Kyiv, 4-A Beseyna Street, Mandarin Plaza, SigmaBleyzer entrance, 8th Floor.  Please RSVP immediately if you wish to attend.

4.  USUBC LUNCHEON WITH U.S. AMBASSADOR JOHN TEFFT ---
      Event was held yesterday, Monday, Nov 30, 2009, in Washington, D.C.

Over fifty members of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) and guests attended a working luncheon with the new U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, John Tefft in Washington, D.C. on Monday, November 30, 2009.  The Ambassador made opening remarks and then members of USUBC discussed with the Ambassador a variety of business and economic issues.  The luncheon was supported by USUBC members Case New Holland, Cargill, Microsoft, and Zurich Surety, Credit and Political Risk.  Ambassador Tefft will be arriving in Kyiv, Ukraine this week to assume his new duties.
