LVIV - On the18th of November, the director of the Lviv Business School (LvBS), Sophiya Opatska, gave a presentation about business education in Ukraine in the office Baker & McKenzie before the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) in Washington, D.C.

USUBC is a strong international voice for business in Ukraine. More than 40 representatives of member companies and organizations of the US-Ukraine Business Council, whose activity in various ways is tied to Ukraine, attended the meeting to find out more about the economic and business environment in Ukraine and about the role which business education can play in the promotion of international standards of business conduct, in looking for international opportunities for Ukrainian companies and in the development of business initiative.

"Some alarming signals are coming from Ukraine about the investment climate and the business environment in particular the passing of a new tax code, and the rating of 145th out of 183 for doing business which was recently published by International Finance Corporation. Therefore, the distinct attitude of business schools and also of those associations such as the US-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) have become very important in these conditions" - Morgan Williams, President and CEO the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) stated at the opening of the meeting.
