WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) executive committee announced today that Discovery Technology International, Inc. (DTI), has been approved for membership in the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC). DTI, of Sarasota, Florida, is an established developer, manufacturer and marketer of cutting-edge ultrasonic piezoelectric motors, and now joins in the membership of over 165 companies and organizations who have business operations, investments or other development programs in Ukraine.

Discovery Technology International (DTI), which has scientific research operations in Kyiv, Ukraine, has evolved to become a leading provider of precision piezoelectric motors, which are used in motion control and flow control devices. DTI’s products are used worldwide within various hi-tech industrial and scientific markets, of which include medical device, semiconductor, light manufacturing and consumer electronic devices.

PIEZOELECTRIC MOTOR TECHNOLOGY

USUBC has been working with Dr. Mark Broderick, CEO of DTI in Sarasota, Florida and with Serhiy Petrenko, Dr. Sc., Prof., Director, LILEYA Ltd in Kyiv, a scientist behind the piezomotor technology being developed, on the awareness of piezo motor applications. "Mark Broderick will represent DTI on the USUBC board of directors," according to Williams.

USUBC now has over one-hundred sixty-five members. Membership in January of 2005 was eight, in January of 2007 was 22, reached 100 by January of 2009 and topped 150 in January of 2011.
