May 2018 – Kinstellar has acted as Ukrainian counsel to International Hotel Licensing Company S.a r.l., a subsidiary of Marriott International, in connection with the opening of Aloft Kiev, the first managed hotel of Marriott International in Ukraine.

Kinstellar advised Marriott International on the real estate, contract, corporate, competition and exchange controls aspects of the matter. Kinstellar also obtained the merger control clearance for the transaction from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.

Kinstellar’s team advising on the transaction was led by Kostiantyn Likarchuk (Managing Partner) and Andriy Nikiforov (Counsel) and included Mykyta Nota (Counsel), Viktoriia Pysmenna, Yulia Eismont and Oleh Andreikiv (Associates) as well as Mariana Antonovych and Oleksandr Plachynta (Junior Associates).
