U.S. BUNGE CORPORATION ENTERS UKRAINIAN MAYONNAISE MARKET
Bunge is one of the largest sunflower oil producers in Ukraine

KYIV - Bunge Ukraine, one of the largest Ukrainian-based sunflower oil producers, has launched mayonnaise under the Oleina brand. As the company's press service told Interfax-Ukraine on December 21,Oleina mayonnaise is produced by Donetsk-based CJSC Slavoliya.

"Bunge Ukraine has become a mayonnaise pioneer (none of Bunge's divisions had produced mayonnaise until recently) for several reasons: firstly,our sunflower oil business here is one of the most powerful among the company's European subdivisions,and secondly,the capacity of the domestic mayonnaise market is among Europe's highest Ukrainians consume 180,000 tonnes of mayonnaise per year," the press service said.

The mayonnaise will be marketed in the medium-priced segment. The Oleina-branded mayonnaise assortment consists of three types: high-caloric mayonnaise "Refined Premium" (72% of fat),medium-caloric mayonnaise "Refined Classic" (50% of fat) and low-caloric mayonnaise "Refined Light" (30%).

As was reported earlier, Bunge Ukraine is a Ukrainian-based subdivision of Bunge Ltd. The company owns over 94% of capital stock of CJSC with foreign investment Dnipropetrovsk-based edible oil refinery, grain trader Suntrade, as well as grain elevators in Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad provinces. It owns the Oleina and Rozumnytsia trademarks.
