Ukraine International Airlines is set to launch flights between Vilnius and the Western Ukrainian city of Lviv in the fall, writes LETA/BNS.

The service will be operated three times a week starting Sept. 16 by a Boeing 737-500 aircraft, Vilnius Airport said.

"This route will improve the air link between Lithuania and Ukraine; this is the third destination in the country," Indre  Baltrusaitiene, head of communications and marketing at Lietuvos Oro Uostai (Lithuanian Airports), said in a press release.

Direct flights are currently available from Vilnius to Kiev and Odessa, and from Palanga to Kyiv.
