Celebrating Ukraine in Washington - 26th Independence Day Reception - 550 guests welcomed by Ambassador Chaly
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Ambassador of Ukraine in the USA, Valeriy Chaly, welcomed over 550 guests to the Embassy of Ukraine - 26th Independence Day Reception and the 25th Anniversary of Ukraine-U.S. Diplomatic Relations held on Tuesday evening, September 12, 2017, at the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) in Washington, D.C.
During the program the Ambassador, Members of Congress, representatives of the U.S. Administration, the Ukrainian World Congress and others spoke about Ukraine's long fight for independence, justice, territorial integrity, democracy, and rule of law.
Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, Vice Prime Minister for European & Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, from Kyiv, thanked the people of the United States and the U.S. government for their long and strong support of Ukraine. Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, William Taylor, moderated the program.
