The dream of establishing a Ukraine-wide movement of young people, who strive for change and are taking responsibility for the nation’s future, is finally becoming a reality (see info below).

The official opening ceremonies will be held in Myrhorod, Lviv and Mykolaiv. Please find below the details for each opening ceremony. We would be happy if you could share these occasions with us (please choose a date that fits your calendar).

Responding to  the urgent need of educating  a new generation of Ukrainian leaders-patriots with a deep understanding of their personal  identity, a sense of responsibility to the great aspirations of our ancestors and a clear vision of the future of Ukraine, our team at Ukrainian Leadership Academy (see information below) is expanding Ukraine's  training program aimed at raising a new leaders. This 10-month training program focuses on high school graduates and young people aged 16-21 years who seek to build the future of our nation and the Ukrainian society.

I’m looking forward to see you at these events and invite you to share with us the joy and admiration with  young Ukrainians who are courageously seeking their personal value, discovering Ukraine and developing dialogue for a better future. KYIV-- The dream of establishing a Ukraine-wide movement of young people, who strive for change and are taking responsibility for the nation’s future, is

finally becoming a reality.

The Ukrainian Leadership Academy is a gap-year program for Ukrainian secondary school graduates. The education program lasts 10 months and combines physical, academic and intellectual learning and value-based development.

Our Mission is to develop the next generations of leaders, who inspire commitment and action in others in building a strong, democratic and prosperous Ukraine.

 

Our Goal is to unite young people with high potential for leadership, and give them best training and world practices, help them to discover a deep understanding of national identity, reveal their true talents, and encourage them for change for the sake of our country. Our Approach is to combine “great” books, “great” teachers and “great” practices.

Ukrainian Leadership Academy was launched in 2015 as a pilot project of Western NIS Enterprise Fund and proved to be very successful. This year, the ULA is expanding to four more regions (Lviv, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Poltava) with over 200 students from throughout Ukraine.
 

Western NIS Enterprise Fund is providing approximately UAH 10 mln. per year to cover the educational program, study trips, social and volunteering projects, and administrative expenses of the Academy. Each student receives a scholarship from WNISEF. Students pay only an enrollment fee of UAH 2000 for the 10 months’ course.

Ukrainian Leadership Academy is supported by the Administration of the President of Ukraine, the Parliament Committee on Education and Science, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Parliament’s Committee on Culture and Spirituality, United States Agency for International Development (USAID), The Ukrainian World Congress, Kyiv School of Economics, Patriot Defense, Microsoft Ukraine, Astarta Holding, Molokiya milk company, Klitschko Foundation, Ukrainian Crisis Media Center, Ukrainian National Memory Institute, Erez Eshel as Academy strategic advisor and friend, and others.

The Academy’s lecturers and tutors are well-known visionaries and leaders of Ukraine, as well as professors, and academicians. Above all, they are real patriots of Ukraine, who are now changing the situation in the country and its image abroad.


Prominent and talented Ukrainians, such as Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, Borys Gudziak, Jaroslawa Johnson, Ivan Malkovych, Andriy Zelinskyi, Lenna Koszarny, Roman Tychkivskyy, Natalia Popovych, Victor Zotov, Vladyslav Troitskyi, Jaroslav Rushchyshyn, Oksana Semeniuk, and Valentyna Zotova have joined the ULA’s Initiative Working Group.
 

THE FIRST ULA’S 39 GRADUATES:

•           Entered high-ranking Universities, such as Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, University of Warsaw, Ukrainian Catholic University, Kyiv National Economic University, Taras Shevchenko National University

             of Kyiv, and others.

•           Started own business or professional career.

•           Joined the social responsibility projects or initiated own.

•           Involved in the launch of new Academies.

 

This is a community of young people willing to contribute to the future of Ukraine and its society — these are the future leaders of Ukraine.
