U.S._Ukraine Busines Council (USUBC) invites its members and friends to the screening of Hromadske documentary "The Kerch Prisoners", which will take place on August 25th at 16:00 on the stage near the National Museum of the History of Ukraine (2 Volodymyrska St., Kyiv).

On November 25th, 2018 near the Kerch Strait in the Black Sea, Russian troops opened fire on Ukrainian boats and captured 24 crew members. Ukrainians have been held in Russian prisons for 9 months without being treated as prisoners of war. Despite the ruling from The International Maritime Law Tribunal to release the soldiers immediately, the Russian Federation doesn’t comply with this decision.

Hromadske talked to the families of prisoned sailors, visited Russian courts, spoke to Ukrainian lawyers, militaries, prisoners of war, reconstructed seizures of sailors and ships, and compiled all of this into a great story. Let’s watch together the movie "The Kerch Prisoners" by Hromadske’s journalist Victoria Roshchina about captured Ukrainian soldiers on August 25th at 4:00 pm.

The film will be screened with English subtitles.

The screening will take place within the framework of the open-air concert "Crimean House unites hearts".
