On 13 February USUBC supported a milestone charity evening in Washington, D.C., organized by US Ukrainian Activists (USUA) to support its humanitarian and advocacy initiatives for Ukraine.
USUBC was represented by Irina Paliashvili, President and CEO; Nadiia Khomaziuk, Vice President, Washington, D.C.; and Oleksiy Slusarenko, Assistant Secretary/Treasurer and Director of Financial Administration.
The concert featured a performance by acclaimed Ukrainian-American pianist Pavlo Gintov, whose program highlighted works by prominent Ukrainian composers including Dmytro Bortniansky, Viktor Kosenko, Theodore Akimenko, Hanna Havrylets, and Yuri Povolotsky, underscoring the cultural diplomacy dimension and celebrating Ukraine’s rich musical heritage.
Founded in 2014 and led by Nadiya Shaporynska and her dedicated team, US Ukrainian Activists supports Ukraine through key initiatives such as Front-Line Paramedics, Veterans Support programs, humanitarian shipments to Ukraine’s hospitals, assistance to children of fallen heroes, psychosocial rehabilitation, and ongoing advocacy efforts including #StandWithUkraineEveryDay events in Washington, D.C. The gala marked a milestone anniversary and reinforced continued transatlantic solidarity with Ukraine.
