A more than $30 million investment will significantly scale advanced manufacturing capacity in Albuquerque, strengthening domestic production of mission-critical defense and space technologies. Supported by a $6 million performance-based incentive package from the State of New Mexico and the City of Albuquerque, the expansion will enhance operations across three existing sites, create more than 450 high-wage jobs, and generate an estimated $670 million in economic impact over the next decade. The growth reinforces AeroVironment’s vertically integrated approach to directed energy systems, space-grade components, counter-UAS technologies, and other capabilities critical to U.S. national security and resilient supply chains.
