USUBC members America-Ukraine Strategic Partners (AUSP) and Paradox Public Relations, in collaboration with the U.S. nonprofit Art Shield, are executing an ongoing, successful pro-bono media campaign in support of Ukrainian arts collective Nahirna22, which was hit by a drone strike in August, and again two weeks ago. Shortly after the first attack, all organizations secured press features for Nahirna22 in Art Newspaper, a feature in MutualArt, and mentions in Artnet and other international media outlets.

Through sustained coverage, Nahirna22 has become a prominent international symbol of the resilience of Ukraine’s artistic communities covering in leading art publications. The articles have been shared across social and professional networks in over 20 countries and resulted in a 600% increase in inbound inquiries to Nahirna22’s team from institutions and cultural supporters.
“Our team visited Nahirna22 in Kyiv this past February, and again over the summer. The community was incredibly gracious. Their artwork is essential in Ukraine’s historical and cultural identity,” says AUSP President Davis Richardson. “The multiple attacks on them tragically are deliberate, and meant to erase Ukraine’s culture. However, they have had the opposite effect: Nahirna22 has emerged even stronger and even more attention has been brought on the power of Ukrainian art.”
