Jonathan Taylor is Associate General Counsel at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), and head of DFC’s Private Equity and Investment Funds legal team. Additionally, Jonathan served as part of DFC’s negotiation team that led to the U.S. – Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund negotiations and is currently tasked with leading the team to operationalize the Fund.
Jonathan has been working in emerging and frontier markets for over seventeen years. Prior to joining DFC in 2023, Jonathan spent nine years as a member of BlackRock’s legal team where he focused on Latin America. Prior to this, he worked at Developing World Markets, working to invest capital in financial intermediaries located in frontier markets around the world. He started his career as an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, where he focused on capital markets and the Latin American practice.
Jonathan graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University in 2003 and received a joint M.A. from Johns Hopkins Advanced School of International Studies (SAIS), with distinction, and J.D. from Columbia University Law School in 2008.
