Mike Ligthart is a seasoned logistics and aerospace executive with over 25 years of international experience in managing complex global operations, aircraft fleet management, and supply chain solutions across diverse markets including humanitarian aid, defense, and commercial logistics. Currently, he serves as the Vice President EMEA at ICAT Logistics, driving strategic growth and integrating innovative logistics solutions since February 2025.
Throughout his career, Mike has demonstrated exceptional leadership in establishing and expanding logistics operations for multinational companies. His notable roles include Global Commercial Director for SEKO Logistics, overseeing government, space, and defense markets from November 2023, and Head of Government Services for SEKO in EMEA, managing and developing government and military logistics programs across Africa, Europe, and Asia for over eight years.
Previously, Mike held senior roles such as Government services Manager at Mainfreight and Managing Director at Fast Forward Freight, where he launched and managed operations in Belgium, overseeing cargo and aircraft logistics, as well as Director of Government Services at the EU, focusing on critical supply chain solutions for humanitarian and governmental projects.
His extensive operational expertise encompasses managing large cargo fleets, including the AN225 and IL76 aircraft, deploying complex international logistics for disaster relief, military missions, and commercial cargo. He has coordinated multi-modal transportation solutions, explosives & ammunition, military equipment, and sensitive cargo across continents.
