Natalia Otel Belan is Director for the Europe and Eurasia Division at CIPE in Washington, D.C. Her experience spans over 25 years in international affairs and economic development in Europe, Eurasia, and South Asia. Prior to CIPE, she held positions at the World Bank implementing programs in rural finance and agriculture development across Europe and Central Asia. Otel Belan’s expertise includes economic policy and governance, investment security, business advocacy, entrepreneurship, enterprise ecosystems, corporate governance, anti-corruption reforms, compliance and business ethics, and business association management, among others. She holds an MA in International Development with a specialization in Microfinance and Enterprise Development from American University in Washington DC, BA/MA degree in Education from Moldova State University, and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute of Organization Management. Otel Belan is a native Romanian speaker, fluent in English and Russian.
