On July 10 – Maxim Timchenko, CEO of DTEK, led a session at a URC stage, launching Ukraine’s biggest-ever battery storage project, using U.S.-made batteries from Fluence. Julian Nebreda, CEO of Fluence, explained the critical impact of the project for strengthening Ukraine’s energy resilience and opportunities in Ukraine’s recovery. Reinforcing the strong bond between Ukraine and the United States, Joshua Volz, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Energy for European and Eurasian Affairs of the U.S. Department of Energy noted that the U.S. and Ukraine lead the world when it comes to innovating and engineering, exactly what has been demonstrated by Fluence and DTEK.
