On 17 February, the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine held a discussion on the implementation of pre-trial settlement mechanisms for tax offenses, based on transparent mediation between the state and business. Hosted by the Kyiv School of Public Administration, the event brought together government officials, members of parliament, business associations, legal experts, and private sector representatives to explore how trust, legal predictability, and institutional accountability can strengthen Ukraine’s investment climate.
The program featured presentations by the Bureau’s leadership and two thematic panels, followed by a networking session. On behalf of the USUBC, Mykola Stetsenko, member of the USUBC Executive Committee, President of the Ukrainian Bar Association, and Managing Partner at AVELLUM, presented remarks concerning the implementation of pre-trial settlement mechanisms for tax offenses. Among the panel speakers was USUBC member Vitaliy Odzhykovskyy, Partner of Sayenko Kharenko, who contributed to the discussion on business expectations and conditions for investment.
