In 2024, MoveUkraine continued its dedicated efforts to create safe, comfortable, and supportive conditions for internally displaced Ukrainians (IDPs), veterans, war victims, and stray animals. Through a series of impactful initiatives, the organization made significant contributions toward Ukraine’s recovery and community resilience.

Key achievements in 2024 include:

Social Housing for IDPs: Five residential facilities were repaired and equipped, providing temporary shelter to hundreds of displaced families.

Rehabilitation Centers: The first center for veterans and war victims was completed, with rehabilitation programs already underway.

Healthcare Support: Renovation of a Children’s Hospital and ongoing dental and ophthalmological health initiatives for shelter residents, conducted in partnership with Dr. Paul Runge.

Veterans’ Support: Partial furnishing of a dedicated Veterans’ Space to aid rehabilitation efforts.

Animal Welfare: Assistance to animal shelters through the MUSE_PET project, including the installation of new enclosures.

Educational Programs: Expansion of the KidsKonnectUkraine project, fostering cultural exchange between Ukrainian and American children.

Community Greening: Launch of the Victory Gardens initiative with American partner Dan Engle, planting green spaces around IDP shelters to promote socialization and adaptation.

Employment Assistance: Support for IDPs in finding employment opportunities across various sectors.

MoveUkraine’s achievements would not have been possible without the generous contributions and support of its partners and donors. While much has been accomplished, there remains important work ahead to continue assisting Ukraine’s displaced and vulnerable populations.
