The two companies will leverage Phytoform’s CRE.AI.TIVE platform, which uses machine learning to identify small changes in plant DNA sequences that could produce beneficial effects when activated. The project aims to fine-tune the activity of two native corn genes essential to disease resilience – without introducing foreign DNA. This marks a major step forward in accelerating the design and deployment of next-generation crop traits.
