The U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) hosted the Second URIF Industry Day in Kyiv on 24 March, bringing together representatives of the U.S. and Ukrainian governments, international financial institutions, and private sector leaders. The event welcomed a visiting delegation from the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and focused on strengthening private sector engagement, while also addressing the role of the U.S.-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund (URIF) as an emerging investment mechanism.

The program featured three high-level panel discussions addressing innovation-driven recovery, strategic and emerging technologies, and Ukraine’s energy and minerals potential. The first panel was moderated by Irina Paliashvili, President & CEO, U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) followed by a keynote address delivered by Julie S. Davis, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv. The second panel was moderated by Anna Kovalenko, Senior Advisor, U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), and the third panel was moderated by Mykola Stetsenko, Managing Partner, AVELLUM. Discussions highlighted key investment areas including infrastructure, energy, minerals, defense tech, and innovation, as well as mechanisms to de-risk investments and foster partnerships between U.S. and Ukrainian stakeholders.

The event concluded with keynote closing remarks by Oleksii Sobolev, Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine who emphasized the importance of continued international cooperation and private sector engagement in Ukraine’s economic recovery. The program wrapped up with a networking, providing participants with an opportunity to deepen connections and explore potential collaborations.

USUBC is deeply grateful to the Industry Day partners — AVELLUMBGV Group Management and SPP Development Ukraine — for their support and commitment to strengthening U.S.-Ukraine economic cooperation.
