Natalya Dean
Ms. Dean is a seasoned professional appointed to Europe in January 2023 to deliver value, innovative business solutions, market expansion strategies, and customer intimacy for the company’s strategic growth. Ms. Dean joined Northrop Grumman as General Manager for the Middle East in August 2020 where she secured complex business deals and partnerships through extensive experience of working with government agencies, defense industry, and international partners.
Prior to joining Northrop Grumman Ms. Dean served as the Director of Security Assistance in the Office of Defense Partnership (ODP) at the U.S. Embassy in the United Arab Emirates, supervising one of the largest Foreign Military Sales (FMS) portfolios in the world. Concurrently, she delivered comprehensive advice and strategic guidance to the U.S. Ambassador to the UAE, Senior U.S. government officials, the UAE Ministry of Defense General Staff, and military services on all capability development, acquisition strategies, and technology and information disclosure in support of advancing U.S. interests and interoperability.
Ms. Dean arrived to ODP after serving three years as the Senior Security Assistance and Cooperation Liaison to the U.S. European Command and U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a subject matter expert in FMS, she was responsible for overseeing and coordinating U.S. Security Assistance programs and authorities for Ukraine. Additionally, she guided senior U.S. and foreign military representatives from 39 countries on theater priorities and objectives supported through FMS.
Prior to her assignment at EUCOM, Ms. Dean served as Saudi Arabia National Guard’s Country Program Director for eight years, managing the Army’s largest Foreign Military Sales program valued at more than $35 billion.
Ms. Dean served with distinction in the United States Army from 1998-2006, culminating with duties as Senior Officer Assignments Administrator for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, where she was named the Pentagon Military Service Employee of the Year. Prior to her Pentagon assignment, her leadership was recognized when she was appointed to lead the Headquarters Command Group Section at the Army’s prestigious “Old Guard” unit in Washington, DC.
Ms. Dean has lived in and worked in various countries and has a deep understanding of different cultures and business practices. Additionally, she is fluent in Russian and holds advanced degrees in business administration, with a focus on international business.
Ms. Dean resides with her family in Frankfurt, Germany.
