Dear friends,

We cordially invite you to attend the Ukraine Global Scholars Second Annual Event in Cambridge on November 23rd from 4 to 6-30 pm at the Boston Marriott Cambridge. It will gather around 100 guests from the Ukrainian community and the UGS finalists now studying at top US colleges and boarding schools. The event will focus on two topics (1) the impact our US-educated students can generate in Ukraine; (2) the role of entrepreneurship and social activism in rebuilding Ukraine. We consider the Cambridge event as a great opportunity to introduce our students to the US community and have them meet top thinkers and entrepreneurs motivating them to give back to Ukraine upon graduation. You will also have a chance to hear an update from the UGS Leadership Team and listen to our students' stories.

Please meet our keynote speakers:

Charles K. Whitehead, the Myron C. Taylor Alumni Professor of Business Law at Cornell Law School and Founding Director of the Law, Technology and Entrepreneurship Program at Cornell Tech, specializes in the law relating to corporations, financial markets, and business transactions. After clerking for the Hon. Ellsworth A. Van Graafeiland, U.S. Court of Appeals (2nd Circuit), Professor Whitehead practiced in the United States, Europe, and Asia as outside counsel and general counsel of several multinational financial institutions. Professor Whitehead is a great believer in Ukraine's potential. Recently he co-founded the eō Business Incubators in Kyiv and Kharkiv, Ukraine’s premier seed-stage mentor-driven incubator program supported by the USAID Competitive Economy Program (CEP).

Vadim Keffler, MIT Sloan Fellow. Vadim is a graduate of the London School of Economics pursuing his MBA degree at MIT with the focus on early stage technology entrepreneurship. He is currently working on a healthTech startup in digital dentistry. He has built a career in M&A, leveraged finance and private equity in London, and has recently co-founded a company in Ukraine and invested in several early-stage startups. He is passionate about entrepreneurship and investment.

The event will be moderated by Boston Friend of UGS Adrian Slywotzky, partner at Oliver Wyman, and is organized with the support of Chrystia Slywotzky, Alicia Szendiuch, Tania Vitvitsky, and Zina Kondratiuk.
