Teledyne FLIR Defense has been named as an awardee for the Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense (SHIELD) program, a major 10-year contract vehicle aimed at modernizing U.S. homeland security. As a key contributor to the Pentagon’s “Golden Dome” layered defense architecture, the company will provide elite sensing, prototyping, and production capabilities to help the Missile Defense Agency rapidly deploy advanced multi-domain defenses. This selection allows Teledyne FLIR, alongside its sister companies, to strategically align with prime contractors and pursue direct awards for technologies crucial to protecting the nation against evolving missile and hypersonic threats.
