The U.S.-Ukraine Defense Forum, held on June 5, 2024, in Washington, D.C., brought together key players to discuss tactical and technological innovations crucial for Ukraine’s defense and peace efforts. Organized by the Borderlands Ukraine Foundation in partnership with National Association of Ukrainian Defense Industries / NAUDI, U.S.-Ukraine Business Council, United Help Ukraine, People of Ukraine Foundation, Revived Soldiers Ukraine and many others.
USUBC members, including Ukrainian Armor (Українська Бронетехніка), Textron, Day & Zimmermann and SAIC, actively joined and contributed to the forum. Our Senior Advisor, Kurt Volker, delivered an impactful keynote on winning the war in Ukraine. Panels covered a range of topics, including strategic alliances and the use of advanced defense technologies, highlighting the ongoing cooperation and shared goals between the U.S. and Ukraine.
The day featured a series of insightful panels with distinguished speakers from both the U.S. and Ukraine. Key sessions included “Framing the Challenges” which explored the strategic implications of using Ukrainian and American weapons systems, and “Strategic Alliances” where discussions revolved around President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s peace plan. Other notable panels covered topics such as “Strategic Agility”, “Combat in the Ground Domain”, and “Drones and Counter-Drone Technology”, each delving into the current challenges and future prospects of defense innovations.
