Since 2024, United Help Ukraine, in partnership with the Active Society of Ukraine, has been equipping children in Chernihiv with essential safety skills amid ongoing air raids and shelling. The Little Heroes Project teaches young participants how to respond to attacks, fires, road accidents, and avoid landmines in their neighborhoods. In 2025 alone, 1,381 children took part in hands-on classes, emergency drills with Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, and received guidance for staying safe during power outages and escalated attacks. Through this initiative, children are becoming more confident, resilient, and prepared to face even the most challenging circumstances.
