USUBC and PwС Held Joint Event “Investing in Ukraine’s Recovery: Incentives, Risks, and the Path Ahead”

On 13 November, PwC and USUBC held a joint in-person business meeting at PwC Warsaw office on investing in Ukraine’s recovery, bringing together senior representatives from government, international financial institutions, and the private sector. The discussion featured keynote remarks by Alona Shkrum, First Deputy Minister at MinDev, on investment incentives, PPP opportunities, and new government–investor cooperation mechanisms.

The program continued with a panel on de-risking strategic investments moderated by PwC’s Alex Yankovski and included Jonathan Taylor, Associate General Counsel, Private Equity & Investment Funds, DFC, followed by a presentation from Oliver Gierlichs, CEO of Bayer SBR & CFO Ukraine, highlighting a successful investment case implemented during the war. The meeting was moderated by Lev Holubec, PwC Partner and member of the USUBC Executive Committee, and focused on practical solutions such as insurance instruments, guarantees, and transparency tools essential for supporting private-sector engagement in Ukraine’s reconstruction.
