On 16 September 2025, the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), in partnership with Brave1 – Ukraine’s defense technology cluster – hosted the USUBC & Brave1 Defense Tech Valley Networking Reception in Lviv. Held on the sideline of a two-day Brave1 Defense Tech Valley program, the reception took place at the Zenyk Art Gallery and brought together more than 150 participants.
The reception gathered USUBC member companies from the aerospace, defense, cybersecurity, and technology sectors, alongside startups and defense tech companies from the Brave1 ecosystem. Representatives of the U.S. and Ukrainian governments, allied defense agencies, senior diplomats and representatives of international organizations also joined, creating a dynamic platform for international collaboration and high-level networking.
Welcoming remarks were delivered by Ambassador Julie S. Davis, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. of the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, and Maksym Kozytskyy, Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration. The event continued with addresses from Zinoviy Kozytskyy, Owner and Founder of Zenyk Art Gallery, Valery Krasovsky, CEO at Sigma Software and Greg Fishman, USUBC Secretary-Treasurer and Co-Lead of the USUBC Defense Working Group.
The networking reception provided an informal yet strategic setting that brought together defense primes, visionary military and industry experts, senior officials, global investors, dual-use technology companies, and high-potential startups. By bringing these groups together, the event underscored the importance of international cooperation in advancing defense technology in Ukraine.
We are deeply grateful to event’s Esteemed Partners Northrop Grumman and Worldwide Risk Management for their generous support!
