On 10 September, the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), together with American University Kyiv, co-hosted a high-level roundtable that brought together USUBC Senior Advisors visiting from Washington with members, partners, and distinguished guests in Kyiv. The discussion focused on U.S.-Ukraine relations, economic cooperation, and strategic priorities in the current geopolitical environment.

Welcome remarks were delivered by Daniel Rice, President of American University Kyiv, followed by a panel moderated by Irina Paliashvili, President & CEO of USUBC. The conversation featured insights from USUBC Senior Advisors: Anders Aslund, Senior Fellow, Stockholm Free World Forum; Natalie Jaresko, USUBC Senior Advisor; Amb. John Herbst, Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine; Director, Dinu Patriciu Eurasia Center, Atlantic Council; Amb. William Taylor, Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine; Distinguished Fellow, Atlantic Council, Amb. Kurt Volker, Distinguished Fellow, Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) and Amb. Geoffrey Pyatt, Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine; Senior Managing Director, Energy and Critical Minerals Practice, McLarty Associates. Together, these senior experts and former diplomats shared their perspectives on Ukraine’s resilience, energy independence, and the role of U.S. engagement in supporting the country’s security and long-term recovery.

The roundtable provided a unique opportunity for participants to hear directly from influential voices shaping U.S. policy on Ukraine. USUBC extends its appreciation to American University Kyiv for its partnership and to all speakers and guests who contributed to this important dialogue.
