On 14 October USUBC hosted an in-person roundtable in Washington, D.C. with Oleksii Sobolev, Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, bringing together USUBC members and partners for a meaningful discussion on the expanded mandate of the Ministry, its immediate priorities and the increasing role of private sector engagement in PPP and concessions projects.

Minister Sobolev underscored the investment cases and current reforms designed to accelerate growth, improve SOE governance, attract private capital, drive the green transition, and boost productivity and exports.

An active Q&A followed, with Minister Sobolev stating that “The momentum is definitely there, and we want you to invest into Ukraine,” a message that resonated across the room. Echoing this, USUBC President Irina Paliashvili noted, “The momentum is here, and the right team is here,” reflecting the strength and readiness of the U.S. private sector that USUBC represents.

USUBC extends its deep gratitude to King & Spalding for generously hosting the event at their Washington, D.C. office, and to Mike Ciatti, Partner at the firm, for warmly welcoming the participants.
