Kyiv, Ukraine, 6 June 2016 – The Kyiv Office of Baker & McKenzie was awarded "Ukraine Tax Law Firm of the Year 2016" by the International Tax Review’s (ITR) European Tax Awards at a ceremony held in London.

"It’s a big honor to be recognized by our peers and clients as the best tax consultants in Ukraine," said Partner Hennadiy Voytsitskyi, head of the tax practice in Ukraine. "This remarkable award goes, first of all, to my Kyiv team, which has demonstrated the highest degree of professionalism and dedication, and our most cherished  clients, who honored us entrusting their most challenging tax issues with us."

In addition to the Ukrainian award, Baker & McKenzie won six additional awards, including European Tax Law Firm of the Year, affirming its position as one of the most highly rated and recommended firms among tax advisors worldwide.

To determine the winners, the ITR researched a variety of sources. Submissions from firms were considered and the editorial staff consulted a large number of tax advisers and lawyers, tax executives and in-house counsel to identify and reward the most ground-breaking work.
Established in 1990, the ITR is the leading global publication dedicated to international tax strategy. The European Tax Awards have taken place annually since 2005 and seek to recognize the leading international tax professionals from across Europe.
