Gvozdiy & Oberkovych Law Firm was announced the indisputable winner in the key nominations of Ukrainian Legal Awards 2012 ceremony held on May 29, 2012 in Kyiv.

and Law Firm of the Year 2012 for Tax Practice.

The firm’s Managing Partner Valentyn Gvozdiy was shortlisted among three finalists in The Best Tax Lawyer nomination, and Angelika Sitsko, the firm’s Partner and the Head of Criminal Law Practice, was featured as a finalist in The Best Attorney for Criminal Matters.

Commenting on the recognition, the firm’s Partner Sergiy Oberkovych said that the prestigious awards serve as the recognition of professional and coordinated effort of the whole legal team in servicing complex assignments of international and local businesses in Ukraine as well as of the enhanced level of the firm’s customer assistance. He also noted that the firm’s major accomplishments and ambitious projects are yet to come and that currently the team is focused on further active growth and offering new industry-related legal services to its clientele.  

Ukrainian Legal Awards of the Year is an annual research project by Yurydychna Praktyka, announcing the country's most successful lawyers, law firms and in-house legal departments in 24 nominations. This year the awards ceremony was held for the sixth time. The event welcomed more than 100 representatives of the legal business elite and provided a valuable opportunity to meet and communicate in informal atmosphere. Another important feature of the Legal Awards of the Year project is its charity aspect. Donations gathered during the project will be sent to the International Children’s Heart Foundation.
