Dear Sir / Madam,

PwC Ukraine invites companies operating in the of the Automotive sector to a Business Breakfast dedicated to practical tax, customs, and legal issues connected with car importing activities, and the tax and customs authorities’ approach to certain operations of car importers.

Recently the tax and customs services performed a number of audits and assessed quite significant sums alleging taxpayers violations of tax and customs legislation. With the customs and tax services uniting under the Ministry's umbrella, an even more complex approach to certain of these issues is likely.

Our presentation will identify possible methods to mitigate the risk of an assessment, and issues related to challenging such an assessment if one should occur. Also, we will address questions related to new transfer-pricing rules which are anticipated to become effective in the near future.

Agenda:

1) Practical tax and legal issues in the automotive sector (warranty, marketing, and ‘sham’ transactions)

2) New transfer-pricing rules as they apply to the automotive industry

3) Customs audits and litigation: current practice and prospects
