The U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) was honored to present Matthew Edwards with a Distinguished Service Award during his retirement reception at the U.S. Department of Commerce. This award recognizes his extraordinary career in international trade, remarkable dedication to fostering U.S.-Ukraine bilateral economic relations and support of USUBC’s mission over many years.

Since 2012 Mr. Edwards served as Director of the Office of Russia, Ukraine & Eurasia in the Commerce Department’s International Trade Administration. Matthew’s distinguished career in public service has been marked by dedication, professionalism, and a deep commitment to strengthening international commercial ties. His work with USUBC has been instrumental in promoting trade and investment opportunities, advancing mutual understanding, and paving the way for stronger economic cooperation between the United States and Ukraine.

As we recognize Matthew’s remarkable achievements, we also express gratitude for his enduring friendship and support of USUBC. We wish him all the best as he embarks on this new chapter of his life.
