KYIV - Former Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States, Oleh Shamshur, has joined Phoenix Capital as a member of its Supervisory Board.  In this capacity Ambassador Shamshur will help guide the firm’s business advisory practice and counsel investors regarding government and regulatory challenges.
 
Prior to joining Phoenix Capital, Mr. Shamshur was Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States of America from 2005 to 2010.  Previously he also served as Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine and Head of the European Union Department.  Ambassador Shamshur was awarded the rank of Minister-Counselor and served in Ukraine’s mission to the European Union in Brussels and to the United Nations in Geneva.
 
Ambassador Shamshur earned his doctorate degree in history from the Department of International Relations and Law at National Taras Shevchenko University in Kyiv.
