Arzinger hosted the meeting of the international law firm network Mackrell in Ukraine

On September 27-29, 2013 the annual regional meeting of the MackrellInternational was hosted in Kyiv by Arzinger Law Office, long-term member ofthis law firm network. The conference which was accompanied with an extensivesocial program was attended by 85 participants from Europe, America, MiddleEast, and Southeast Asia. This event creates an excellent platform formaintenance and development of business contacts within the network.  

Arzinger Law Office suggested holding the Mackrell regional meeting fordelegates from Europe, America, Middle East and Southeast Asia in Ukraine inorder to present the country to representatives of the global legal businessand to discuss its potentials and opportunities. In this connection, TimurBondaryev, Managing Partner, and Maksym Cherkasenko, Partner at Arzinger,developed and held an informative and vivid discussion "Ukraine: land ofundiscovered potential" with participation of Pavlo Sheremeta, Presidentof the Kyiv School of Economics, Robert Khorolsky, Law Expert at theUkrainian-European Centre for Political and Legal Consulting, and TimurBondaryev who moderated the conference. Participants of the discussion voiceddifferent opinions on the new possibilities for the Ukrainian economy and thelegal community due to the anticipated signing of the AA and FTA with EU. Mr.Bondaryev expressed his opinion that Ukraine may offer big opportunities forthe business, as the market is developing and, doubtless, promising. It shallbe noted that many delegates had never been to Ukraine before and, thus, thispanel was of great importance for them in order to understand the processeswhich are taking place in the country.

In addition to Mr. Bondaryev and Mr. Cherkasenko, the conference wasattended by Lana Sinichkina, Partner, Vitaly Kasko, Partner, and LadaShelkovnikova, Senior Associate at Arzinger.

The importance of this meeting for Arzinger cannot be overestimated as thebusiness-program and several social events, which became an excellentopportunity for networking, showing the guests the beauty of Kyiv andintroduction of the Ukrainian culture, gave the company a great occasion tostrengthen existing contacts and to forge new ones, and to prove itself tocolleagues from different jurisdiction.
