At a regular meeting of the Public Council at the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Natalia Martynyuk, attorney-at-law, senior associate at Arzinger Law Office, was elected member of the Board.

The Public Council at the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine was created in 2012 and is comprised of 80 leading experts and representatives of the agrarian sector was established. The Council is a standing advisory body whose purpose is to organize public control and interaction of public organizations with the Ministry, to ensure the transparency of the Ministry’s activities and to take into account public opinion in the formation and implementation of the State’s agrarian policy.

The Public Council has been entrusted with the task of promoting the participation of individuals in public affairs and for considering public opinion in the preparation and implementation of the Ministry’s decisions. Important tasks of the Council are to get feedback from public organizations and associations and to summarize the public opinion about the Ministry’s activities. In addition, council members will be actively involved in the development and implementation of public policies in the agrarian sector and in the expert evaluation of draft laws submitted by the Ministry.

Natalia Martynyuk is member of Arzinger agricultural practice. Her knowledge and experience in advising agribusiness representatives on various legal issues will contribute to the objectives set for the council. Moreover, Arzinger has long-term experience in the agricultural industry and provides consulting services to agricultural holdings, companies and farm enterprises on issues of land use, legislation relating to water and natural resources, environmental laws, trade, debt financing, energy, regulatory and other ongoing matters of the agricultural business.
