Sugar production campaign successfully continues at ASTARTA sugar plants. As of 16-th of September 2011 seven sugar plants were involved into production process. Total daily processing capacity of sugar plants is 30 000 tons, that is 50% higher comparіng with 2010 production season. Substantial reconstruction of all sugar plants and acquisition of two sugar plants in Kharkiv region contributed to significant increase of the processing capacities. Thus, considerable modernization, i.e. installation of the additional diffusion machine and reconstruction of sugar end resulted in 60% increase of daily processing capacity at Globyno sugar plant in Poltava region and Narkevychi sugar plant in Khmelnytskyi region.

It is expected that ASTARTA will process around 2,5 million tons of sugar beet and will produce 350 thousand tons of sugar in the current production season.
