Asters secured a convincing victory in the anti-dumping investigation into imports of syringes from India, Turkey, and China, as the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade (ICIT) voted to terminate the 18-months investigation without imposing any anti-dumping duties.

Asters represented Ukrainian Association of Market Operators of Medical Devices (AMOMD), five leading Turkish and Chinese producers and exporters of syringes, as well as their Ukrainian customers. The case was handled by counsel Dmytro Vidsota, senior associate Nadiia Dmytrenko, associates Olga Vashulenko and Tetiana Bebik, led by partner Alexey Pustovit.

Also, the ICIT started new anti-dumping investigation into imports of aerated concrete blocks from Belarus falling within HS code 6810 11, and sunset review of anti-dumping duties on imports of ammonium nitrate from Russia falling within HS codes 3102 and 3105. In both cases, the deadline for registration as interested party is 30 days, expiring on 20 May 2019.

The ICIT introduced definitive five-year anti-dumping duties on rubber seals for medical purposes originating from Poland (40.65%) and China (8.45%). It also confirmed that anti-dumping duties for railroad switches from Russia will expire on 29 November 2019, and those for seamless stainless steel pipes from China – on 29 December 2019.
