KYIV - Asters advised Sputnik Group with respect to a $40m financing package, consisting of loan and equity from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for development of its pension and insurance business in Russia and Ukraine.
 
The loan will be used to promote business operations of the Renaissance Life and Pensions (one of the top ten largest nongovernmental pension funds in Russia in terms of the number of its clients) and the Renaissance Life Company (life insurance company in Russia and Ukraine). In Ukraine Renaissance Life is among top three leaders on the life insurance market.

Asters team for current project included partners Oleksiy Didkovskiy and Iryna Pokanay, and associates Leonid Antonenko, Svitlana Chepurna, Anna Novodvorska and Nikolai Sorochinskiy.
