BDO in Ukraine became one of the sponsors of the largest event in Ukrainian agricultural sector – the fourth International Forum “Agrobusiness of Ukraine” organized by the company Adam Smith Conference on 13-15 March, in Kiev. This year the event gathered over 200 representatives of agricultural industry, including key governmental officials, top management and main shareholders of leading agricultural holdings, international investors, traders, financial institutions and analysts.

Nikolay Bezugliy, First Deputy Minister of Agricultural Policy, opened the forum with the key report, outlining principal directions of agricultural reform, and emphasized its importance for overall economic development of Ukraine.

President of BDO in Ukraine, Mrs. Alla Savchenko became a moderator on one of key sessions of the forum “Corporate sector in the Ukrainian agricultural sector is in the timelight – from sector’s leaders to “rising stars”. In the frame of the session, leading companies of the sector presented their reports: Mironovsky Khleboproduct, First Winemaking Holding, Industrial Milk Company, Svarog-West and Grain Alliance.

Also, within the framework of the attraction of financing actual session, one of the clients of BDO in Ukraine, KSG Agro demonstrated successful going public (Warsaw Stock Exchange) on its practical experience.

Agricultural sector is one of priorities for BDO in Ukraine. We agree with experts’ opinion that agricultural sector is one the promising in Ukraine, not only in part of growth potential, but also in light of the investment attractiveness.
