BDO Ukraine ranked 24th in the ranking of openness and consistency in the area of corporate social responsibility held among Ukrainian companies by the Ukrainian rating magazine "GVardiya." It should be noted that the company was the only participant representing the country’s audit and consulting sector.

Alla Savchenko, President of BDO Ukraine, stated: "Despite post-crisis trends, the company hasn’t curtailed CSR policies and for the third year straight it implements the strategy of social responsibility. In 2011 we increased investment in social, charity and corporate programs to 10%. Of our latest achievements we are very proud of the third place we took in the Green Office nomination of Green awards.

Let us remind that in 2008 the company joined the UN Global Compact and in March 2011 –of “Development of corporate social responsibility” Centre. Two CSR reports have already been prepared, reflecting BDO’s activities in the field of personnel development, health and safety, environmental protection and resource conservation, community development and philanthropy.

The number of participants in the rating has shown a positive increase, so in 2012 there have been forty-one companies, 8% more comparing to 2011. The ranking was based on the analysis of questionnaires submitted by the participants, public social reports, and independent assessments of the experts - members of the advisory council. Participation in this ranking is an example of how the social responsibility of Ukrainian business is evolving, as well as of strengthening of the image of Ukraine and local companies in the international arena.
