Sergiy Gryshko, senior associate and coordinator of the dispute resolution practice of Kyiv office of CMS Cameron McKenna, and Irina Nazarova, Managing Partner of ENGARDE, participated as the Arbitrators in 5th Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court, a well-established international student competition focusing on the international investment protection law. The event took place in Frankfurt at the W. Goethe University of Frankfurt am Main from 12 – 16 March 2012.

During the roundtable organised by Association of Friends and Alumni of School of International Arbitration (London, UK) that preceded the event Mr Gryshko delivered a presentation on “EU Law and BITs: Learning to Co-Exist” speaking about general complexities of interaction between general public international law of investment protection and the EU law. Ms Nazarova provided audience with the observations on current changes in EU investment protection policy from the non-EU lawyer perspective.

The event was attended by law students and major arbitration experts from across Europe.
