CMS Cameron McKenna in Kyiv has successfully represented EBRD with respect to a EUR 10 million loan to Ternopilmiskteplokomunenergo. The loan, which will be guaranteed by the local municipality, is intended to finance a project to modernize Ternopil's central heating system. The team was led by Adam Mycyk, head of the banking and international finance practice of CMS Cameron McKenna in Kyiv, with assistance from associate Kateryna Chechulina and others.

Adam Mycyk comments: "It was a great opportunity for us to work on this financing especially given that this is a pilot project in the Ternopil oblast and its implementation will allow saving up to 15% of the volume of gas consumed in Ternopil. We have already worked on a number of municipal financing transactions with EBRD in recent years, and we hope to continue our work with them on similar municipal financing projects."
