Court Imposes One of the First Fines for Violation of Personal Data Protection Rules
Asters, Kyiv, Ukraine, February 7, 2013
On 7 February 2013 the Podilsky District Court of Kyiv fined the Director of Publishing Readers Digest LLC (the "Company") for a violation of the laws on personal data protection by the Company.
The Director was found guilty of failing to report changes in the information the Company filed while registering its database of personal data. The Company failed to report the change in the database's location.
The fine imposed was UAH 3,400 (approx. EUR 340).
