DLA Piper awarded FOREIGN Law Firm of the Year 2012 in Ukraine

Kyiv - DLA Piper's Kyiv office was awarded "Foreign Law Firm of the Year 2012" at the Yuridicheskaya Practika Weekly Legal Awards, which took place on 29 May in the Hyatt Hotel, Kyiv.
DLA Piper was selected for the coveted title, by an independent panel of legal experts, made up of well-known Ukrainian lawyers.
The Legal Awards ceremony is in its 6th year. DLA Piper's Kyiv office has previously been recognised by the judging panel in various categories, including Foreign Law Firm of the Year in 2008.
Margarita Karpenko, Managing Partner of the Kyiv office, commented: "This is a well-deserved award which endorses DLA Piper's efforts to bring top-flight international standards of legal practice into the Ukrainian market. On behalf of the entire DLA Piper team in Ukraine (who all contributed to this success) I want to thank the judging panel of the Legal Awards 2012 for this honour."
During the Legal Awards 2012 DLA Piper was also shortlisted for Corporate Law Firm of the Year. Besides, Oleksandr Kurdydyk, Partner & Head of Finance & Projects, was shortlisted for Best Banking & Finance Lawyer of Year, and Svitlana Musienko, Partner & Head of Tax, was shortlisted for Best Tax Lawyer of the Year.
