Washington, D.C., Friday, May 16, 2014DLA Piper is pleased to announce that starting from 1 May 2014 it has a number of promotions in its Kyiv office:
Associates, Dmytro Pshenychnyuk (Finance & Projects), Oleg Matiusha and Sergiy Portnoy (both - Real Estate) were promoted to Senior Associates.
Dmytro, Oleg and Sergiy will continue their persistent work to further develop Finance & Projects and Real Estate practices respectively.
Dmytro Pshenychnyuk advises international and domestic banks, industrial groups, insurance companies, international organizations (EBRD, IFC and World Bank) and other investors. Dmytro has considerable experience in M&A transactions and complex cross-border finance transactions, including asset finance, LPN transactions, debt restructuring and standstill arrangements. Since 2006 he is a certified attorney at law. Dmytro obtained a PhD degree in law from the Institute of
International Relations, Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University in 2011. He is an active member of legal committees of the American Chamber of Commerce and European Business Association in Ukraine.
Oleg Matiusha has extensive experience in legal sphere and specializes in real estate and construction projects, construction licensing and land allocation matters, investment structuring, FIDIC agreements, real estate M&A transactions. Being a transactional lawyer, Oleg advised clients on a number of Ukrainian and English law governed transactions on acquisition of corporate rights in Ukrainian and foreign real estate holding companies, structured transactions for purchase and sale of real estate assets in Ukraine. He graduated from the Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University in 2003.
Sergiy Portnoy has significant experience in advising on legal matters and specializes in real estate, land and construction. He also provides legal support to clients in the sphere of infrastructure and ports development. Also Sergiy took active part in the governmental working groups developing new legislation regarding town-planning and sea ports reform. He obtained Diploma in Maritime Law in 2004 from the Odesa National Maritime Academy and Diploma in Finance in 2008 from the Odesa
National Economic University.
Olena Martsynovska, Junior Associate of Corporate practice group, was promoted to Associate. Having substantial experience in corporate law, labour law, and regulatory Olena will continue her work on more complex mandates. Oleksandra Protsenko, Paralegal with Finance & Projects practice group became Junior Associate, and will continue persistent working on various financial and infrastructure projects.
