Kyiv, May 14, 2012 – Ernst & Young released its third Corporate Responsibility Report for Ukraine, illustrating the results of the company’s performance in the economic, social and environmental spheres. The report covers the activities of the Ukrainian offices, located in Kyiv and Donetsk, during the financial year 2010 (from 1 July 2010 to 30 June 2011).

Ernst & Young`s corporate responsibility includes building strong relationships with all our stakeholders (internal and external) and care for the environment. Key program areas are covered in the four relevant sections of the report: Workplace, Marketplace, Environment and Community, being confirmed with measurable indicators. For example, the description of corporate values and CR initiatives is illustrated by the volunteers involvement (35% of staff took part in volunteer projects) and the ecological impact indicators (disposable plastic usage decreased by 90%).

Key highlights in the area of corporate responsibility:

  • last year 7 thousands students and schoolchildren were involved in 14 educational projects organized and / or supported by Ernst & Young;
  • Ernst & Young has organized and / or supported 25 events dedicated to improving business-climate in Ukraine;
  • 12.5 tons of paper put in recycling – which is 84% of paper purchased during the year;
  • client serving employees participated in more than 90 training courses, dedicating about 11 000 training hours to their professional development;
  • 77% of employee mothers believed that the Working Mothers Support Program provides a better work-life balance.
