First Scientific-Practical Comment to the Law of Ukraine “On Protection against Unfair Competition” Published

In October 2013 comes out the first Ukrainian scientific andpractical commentary to the Law of Ukraine “On Protection against UnfairCompetition” co-authored by Gennady Androshchuk, Deputy Head of the Laboratoryfor Legal Support to the Science and Technology Development at the IPScientific and Research Institute of the National Law Academy of Ukraine,D.Sc., assistant professor, Timur Bondaryev, Managing Partner at Arzinger,attorney-at-law, Natalia Ivanytska, Senior Associate at Arzinger, Dr.jur.,attorney-at-law, and Sergiy Shklyar, Founding Partner at Arzinger, Dr.jur.,attorney-at-law, President of the Association for Resistance to UnfairCompetition (ARUC).

This issue is dedicated to practical problems arising by interpretation ofthe Law of Ukraine "On Protection against Unfair Competition" and isrecommended by the academic board of the IP Scientific and Research Instituteof the National Law Academy of Ukraine.

The special value of the commentary lies in the fact that it is the firstUkrainian scientific and practical publication researching the practice of lawenforcement in the sphere of protection against unfair competition. Thestructure of the commentary allows the reader to follow up the qualification ofanticompetitive infringements, to learn about doctrinal interpretations,practice of the law enforcement of the Antimonopoly committee of Ukraine andeconomic courts, approaches to consideration of similar cases by foreigncompetition authorities and courts, and to develop technics for interpretationof the key competition notions.
