Henning Dräger, Chief Sustainability Officer of BDO in Ukraine, spoke on "Lean manufacturing as a component of sustainable business development" at the seminar "PRODUCTION WITHOUT DAMAGES", held 24-25 April at the office of "Manezh" in Cherkassy.

The seminar discussed reduction of operating costs, a systematic approach to implementing lean manufacturing techniques, process of transformation of production into lean manufacturing, transformation strategies and issues of sustainable business development. The seminar was attended by about 200 owners of enterprises, top managers and businessmen.

Henning Dräger in his report focused on the concept of "sustainable business development" pillars of sustainable development, namely: financial, social and environmental aspects, as well as suggestions on how to reduce the negative impact of business on the environment. Henning also stressed that more environmentally friendly and sustainable products are not inferior in quality and design, while causing less damage.
